Serving to Make a Difference
“Invisible threads are the strongest ties.” - Frederich Nietzsche

Tampa Uncovered:
Tampa Uncovered Alternative Break is an expansion of Hillel’s social justice work in the United States. In recognition of the many communities in the United States in need of volunteer support, and understanding the tremendous impact that each volunteer makes in the lives of so many in need, we will provide support to both community members and environmental agencies in the Tampa, Florida area. Each day will be spent waking early to participate in intense hands-on volunteer work and spending evenings enjoying some of what Tampa has to offer, meeting with community members, delving into socio-economic and environmental issues, reflection and exploration of Jewish values. The group will also spend time at the beach, doing both volunteer work one day and relaxing and enjoying another.

Participating Schools:
Tufts University
University of Kansas
University of Maryland
